Krista Epplestun from Mylookbook gives the low-down on her blog, how it's helped her business and how it's in the running for Cleo Blogger of the year.
“I created Mylookbook's (MLB) Blog to coincide with the MLB Magazine/Website. MLB is a visual journal compiled directly by the worlds best fashion designers and fashion boutiques and has been online for about a year.
MLB is updated monthly but I wanted to be able to write and post images about what inspired me on a daily basis without a lot of time and effort doing artwork.
I use Google's BlogSpot website (which was really quick and easy to learn) – I never imagined that the blog would be a finalist in the Cleo Magazine “Best Blogger” competition and am very excited and honoured! (You can vote for me below – hint hint).
My blogging is so much more relaxed that what I do on my other websites and even though you know that people are reading it, you really don't think they must be paying that much attention!
There are plenty of benefits to keeping your blog updated though when it's related to your business website, each time you create a new post, search engines pick up your wording increasing your listings and rankings. It's an easy marketing avenue that anyone can do and it's actually quite enjoyable!
